Our Itinerary
The CounterBalance Team will fly from Cape Town to Durban on the morning of November 26 (a two-hour flight). The ride will begin from Durban early the next day, following the famous Dusi Canoe Marathon route up to Pietermaritzburg. Day Two brings the team to the start of the Freedom Challenge Trail proper.
The trail is divided into seven stages, defined by the regions that it passes through (see The Route). The team is scheduled to arrive in Cape Town on Saturday, January 8, 2011 – the 44th day of this bound-to-be beautiful adventure.
Note: Once confirmed, a final and detailed itinerary will be published to allow supporters of the tour and the general public to meet up with the team. We'd like that. People will make a very nice change from cows and goats. Not to mention snakes. And scorpions.
